Our Journey

From wholesale and distribution to a regenerative agricultural ecosystem.

Noko Mabulelo Agriculture is not a start-up starting from zero. It is an established business moving into its next, larger chapter.

Where we came from
NMA began on the wholesale and distribution side of the agricultural and food-security value chain, learning how food moves from producers to markets and where the system loses value.
Where we are going
NMA has transitioned from trading into establishing an internalised, regenerative, integrated, technology-enhanced, zero-waste agricultural network, with agri-wildlife and agri-tourism as expansion opportunities. Production, processing and distribution now sit inside one system.
Why it is not a typical start-up
The move builds on lessons learnt in the value chain, and on a founder who has marshalled and championed growth and development programmes for other organisations. That experience now goes into building this regenerative ecosystem for NMA.

Zero-Waste, Energy & Regenerative Practices

Circular by design.

Organic waste and effluent flow into biogas digestion, powering the network itself before anything is sold externally. Once internal production, processing and cold-chain needs are met, surplus renewable energy, organic fertiliser and verified carbon credits become available for external purchase.

Every SBU carries its own risk-mitigation protocol — from biosecurity zoning in Poultry to redundant aeration in Aquaculture — designed so the network absorbs shocks without breaking continuity of supply.
